Affiliate Marketing Defined Earn Money Ways

Why are thousands of ordinary people starting one of the most profitable internet businesses around today called affiliate marketing? What is affiliate marketing anyway?

Well, it’s a form of marketing other people’s products for a commission; usually a hefty commission at that. To give a quick example, an affiliate marketer finds a niche (a market) where people are spending money for things in that niche, then finds a product in demand within that niche, and begins promoting that product or service, usually via a website, to that niche. And when sales are made from the affiliate’s efforts, the affiliate makes a good commission.

For example, Jane wants to become an affiliate marketer. She’s noticed there’s a niche for something she’s personally passionate about, and that’s floral designing. And to Jane’s surprise, floral design is a hot niche we’ll say (I don’t really know if it is or not, I haven’t checked). She discovers lots of people doing lots of searches for floral design and accessories and are spending lots of money on them.

So, now, Jane only needs to find the right products to represent to the floral design market and with the right tools and training, if she follows instructions, will most likely succeed as an affiliate marketer and become a true success story she can tell her grand-kids about.

So, if you haven’t guessed by now, “training” is the first rule to success in anything, let alone affiliate marketing. Few become CEOs right out of high school, right? There’s training involved to be a successful Chief Executive Officer. So it stands to reason doesn’t it, that affiliate marketing wouldn’t be any different? Of course it’s not.

Training is the fast track to success, saving you having to reinvent the wheel. Learning the short-cuts and avoiding mistakes. Yes, training, or some type of guidance, is essential.

Understand too, learning will be ongoing. Even the millionaire gurus are still learning; don’t be fooled they aren’t. Besides, learning is really a bunch of fun, when you’re making lots of money. You get to mastermind with other successful marketers and swap ideas and have fun and socialize. It’s great.

If you come away from this article with one thing, let that be an understanding that to succeed at anything, whether it’s taking surveys for chances to win something maybe later, to opening a pizza parlor, to internet marketing or starting a dog walking business, understand that it’s going to take time. It doesn’t happen over night. It could happen fast, yes, just not anywhere near over night. (Unless you’re into gifting; that could be an exception.)

Getting back to affiliate marketing, there is competition in affiliate marketing in the various niches; but that’s a good thing, really. That means people are spending money. So that’s one sign for seeking out a profitable niche—look where the competition is, believe it or not.
