At all times, but especially in today’s economic conditions, many people are asking themselves: “How do I make money?” Or "How do I build a business online," or "What do I do?" All are very good questions and ones I’ve asked myself in the past as well.

Basically, there are only two ways of how to make money online: The first way is to build an internet home business from scratch.

The second way is to work another internet business already marketing something.

These are the two ways one can start a business online. Let’s talk about the first way.

Building an Internet Business from scratch.

By far this is the most profitable form of making money online, but one that is just as hard to build as building a brick and mortar business offline. This earn money way requires developing your own product(s) or service(s) that will satisfy a specific market. For example, you are an inventor and have invented this new widget you think people would be interested in owning. So you get a patent on it (which will take many months and costs lots of money to get), you package it right and then you start marketing it. Of course you’ll have to contract with a manufacturer to manufacture your widget, then contract with a warehouse to warehouse your inventory. Of course you’ll need insurance to protect your inventory, as well as employees to manage your inventory. Then there's the matter of shipping the product to your customers. Hopefully you get the drift? This takes some financial doing.

Or, you’re a software developer and you’ve created this nifty software to make people’s life easier. This earn money way is much easier than developing a hard product on many levels, but, in the end, will it sell? Will this make money? Little tip: to find out, find out what your market whats, then develop that. Then you'll know that it will sell and will most likely be an earn money way.

Earn money ways Number Two:
Assist another internet business already marketing something. This second earn money way is by far the easier of the two earn money ways for having an internet business. Basically, this mthod entails selling an existing product or service. Selling one that is already being sold on the internet. The most common form for this earn money way is called affiliate marketing. This is where you act as an affiliate to an existing business, and you just sell the product or service and collect a commission. Everything else outside of selling (product creation, inventory, billing, etc.) is all handled by the creator of the product or service you’re selling. It’s really quite ideal for a beginner starting an earn money ways business online.

Other forms of this second earn money way method is Paid Per Click advertising, where you put up a website containing other people’s ads and when people click on the ad on your site, you earn a commission just because they clicked on the ad. Your only job here is to set up the website and drive traffic to your site so they can see the ad to potentially click on it.

Then of course there’s also multi-level marketing, which most of us know what that is. Another earn money way is Get Paid To (GPT), where you get paid to take surveys, or to read emails, or to play games, and more. But these types of internet businesses are time consuming in my opinion and wouldn’t be a source of decent money on a continuing basis. I doubt you’ll be able to quit your day job, however, admittedly, I have only done a cursory investigation of GPT earn money ways businesses to form this opinion.

But what I do know about GPT is this: all the people making the huge bucks with an internet business, aren’t doing it with GPT. They either have their own product or are an affiliate marketer. One affiliate marketer I know didn’t start with his own product until AFTER he was making a million dollars a year with affiliate marketing. There’s too much risk beginning with your own product. Affiliate marketing is way less risky and can still earn you millions of dollars when done right.

But, with almost any form of internet earn money ways business, getting viewers (or ‘traffic,’ in internet marketing parlance), to your site is the first key to success. The second key is getting those people to buy of course. And that’s where you ad copy comes into play. However, to shorten your learning curve on this, its highly recommended you find a coach to teach you the earn money way ropes so to speak, to teach you how to make money with an internet business.
