In part 1 The Basics of Internet Marketing we gave a general overview of how to make money online, to lay a foundation. In part 2, The Basics of Traffic Generation for Internet Marketing, we got into more detail of how to generate traffic to your website.

In this last installment of this three part article series, we’re going to discuss the fourth basic way traffic comes to your website. Here, you’ll learn how to earn money ways the old fashion way: you’ll buy it. You buy the traffic to your site through advertisements.

Now, this earn money way too (like the previous three methods when one learns how to make money bringing traffic to their website (through SEO, type in traffic, and back links)), is a science to itself as well, and it’s called “marketing.” Marketing even encompasses the previously discussed ways too. So, such a broad subject can never be covered in depth here. . .but we’ll at least touch upon the highlights and give you a general overview.

A very popular and profitable way of buying traffic to your website on the internet is through pay per click advertising. This is where you pay the search engine so much money for ranking (and it’s a bidding process on top of it), to place your ad either at the top of the page or on the right side of the page (for Google) of search engine results. Those narrow listings on the right that say at the top ‘Sponsored ads’ or something like that, are paid advertisements. Now when the ad appears, if it is NOT clicked on, you as the person placing the ad pays nothing. If however, someone clicks on your ad, then you pay the search engine a fee. That’s why it’s called “pay per click.” The click will take that person to your website where hopefully they will leave it a very happy customer.

These are the basics of internet marketing. We haven’t even skimmed the surface of the different earn money ways there are to learn how to make money online, there’s so many. But I hope you come away from this article with at least knowing that if you plan on starting an at home small business online, you should know there’s going to be a lot of learning involved if you want to do this on the cheap. If you’re willing to spend some money to get yourself up and running, then that’s a whole different story. But it’s important to know, to realize and believe it in your heart, that in either case, anyone can succeed with an earn money online business opportunity if they put their mind to it! As Napolean Hill had said, "Whatever your mind can conceive and believe it can achieve." And that’s the truth.

It really does come down to whether you believe you can, or whether you believe you can’t. Honestly. It does because either way, you’re right! Because that’s what you believe. Whatever the human mind can believe and conceive of, it can achieve. And it all starts with you. . .So, until the next earn money way time. (In the meanwhile, ‘think’ “you can,” and you will!)
